CLEAR Network Meeting and Training in Tübingen
From 21 to 25 June 2026, the CLEAR network gathered at the University of Tübingen, Germany, for a combined network meeting and doctoral training event. The programme brought together doctoral candidates, supervisors, and advisory board members to share scientific progress, discuss new collaborations, and strengthen the CLEAR research community.
The meeting included project updates and research presentations by all doctoral candidates, providing a platform for scientific exchange and feedback. In addition, the doctoral candidates participated in a dedicated training programme covering entrepreneurship and patenting, antibiotic classes and mechanisms, mode-of-action discovery, bacterial heterogeneity, and cytological profiling. Hands-on laboratory sessions at the Institute for Microbiology and Infection Medicine (IMIT) complemented the theoretical training.
Beyond the scientific programme, participants enjoyed a range of networking activities, including guided visits in historic Tübingen and social events to further foster connections across the consortium. The event concluded with participation in the Cluster of Excellence “Controlling Microbes to Fight Infection” (CMFI) Mini Symposium, creating additional opportunities for exchange with the broader research community.
